Birds
were chirping, butterflies were dancing, golfers were swinging,
and money was being raised…. What a perfect day for a round
of golf while helping to foster economic and financial education
in our Arizona K-12 students. 112 golf participants gallivanted
through award winning Grayhawk Golf Club’s “Raptor
Course”, challenged by putting contests, hole-in-one contests,
and ACEE’s ‘Econ-Raptor Challenge’ where participants
got a taste of the economics knowledge content our Arizona K-12
students need to understand.
The loud buzz over scores filled the hall
as participants trickled in for a delicious buffet dinner and
awards ceremony. Fun
prizes such as Taylor Made Putters and Hot Stix Golf “Works” Fittings
were awarded to Places 1, 2 and 3 but the real buzz was over
the 50” LG Plasma Integrated HDTV Flat Panel that was raffled
off. Golfers engaged in friendly bidding wars over the
amazing auction items which included a 5 night 6 day trip to
Hawaii, a weekend stay at the beautiful Carefree Resort & Villas
complete with four spa treatments, and many more! A good
time had by all!!

most successful yet. A special thanks to all our returning
supporters who have helped grow this event, and to our new supporters
who we hope will continue to attend our fundraising events in
support of ACEE’s programs.

annual “Capture the Raptor” Golf Tournament will
continue to grow. We hope those in attendance had a wonderful
time, and those who were not able to join us will be able to
