In 1997, Arizona became the 48th state to join the 50-year-old network of the National Council on Economic Education. This network of state Councils and over 275 college/university-based Centers for Economic Education is the premier source of teacher training and materials used to instill an understanding of economic principles for grades kindergarten through 12.
